Recently we embarked on a flavorful journey through the heart of the south – Knoxville, Tennessee. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains, Knoxville has a huge brewing community and diverse array of breweries making it a must visit destination for beer and cider enthusiasts. Our favorite and recommended brewery in Knoxville is Xul Beer Company (pronounced Zul). Xul is an innovative craft brewery, featuring a range of styles from hazy IPA’s to fruited sours and stouts.Here were our favorites:

‍PB& J Mixed Tape - Imagine a beer that perfectly captures the flavors of peanut butter & jelly sandwich – this is it. The PB&J Mixed tape is a fruited kettle sour style beer that locals will line up for and buy out in minutes when produced in cans. They have produced 4 different variants of the PB&J Mix Tape (Blackberry – Grape – Raspberry – Strawberry). Grape was on tape for us, but I wouldn’t doubt every flavor is a winner.

‍The Pina Colada Seltzer - A refreshing twist on the classic tropical cocktail. Each sip transports you to a sun-soaked beach, offering a light and invigorating taste that’s perfect for any occasion.Toro Y Oso - A Mexican Lager that proved to be perfectly light and crisp for the summertime.

‍Rhymes Like Dimes - Xul’s award winning Hazy IPA that served up with strong notes of fruit flavors and aromas with a smooth finish.
